For many years, the BRIGITTE Diet has demonstrated that it is indeed possible to lose weight in a healthy way with a well-thought-out plan. Now, it’s even easier to stick to the right diet, because the BRIGITTE Diet is going mobile. It’s leaving the printed magazine and the computer behind and can now also be used on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
From Cravings to Control: The Digital Way to Manage Your Diet
The BRIGITTE Diet apps for iPhone and iPod touch, and BRIGITTE Diet HD for iPad, are now available in the iTunes App Store and can be quickly downloaded to the corresponding devices. The apps offer all the content needed for a successful diet. This starts with an extensive selection of recipes and extends to personalized diet plans with helpful shopping lists, as well as the option to lose weight together with friends and share your initial successes via the app. The apps are based on the following modules:
– 80 hand-picked recipes:
The app features 80 delicious, low-energy recipes for meals and snacks specifically tailored to the BRIGITTE diet. For each recipe, the app presents a photo of the finished dish, a list of ingredients, and detailed step-by-step instructions detailing exactly what to do in the kitchen.
– Personalized diet plans:
A diet plan specifies exactly what you’ll eat every day for two weeks. From morning to night, suitable meals are planned that are easy to follow. Three diet plans are available, including a vegetarian one. If you notice while reviewing the plans that certain dishes don’t suit your taste, you can quickly swap out the recipes in the diet plan.
– Create a shopping list:
Once you’ve created your diet plan, the app will generate a matching shopping list – either for your daily or weekly shopping. This way, you’ll never forget any ingredients while shopping. In the store, you can even cross individual items off the list with your fingertips.
– Daily energy balance:
The BRIGITTE diet is all about not exceeding a limit of 1,200 calories, which are packed into particularly filling meals. The energy balance shows daily whether dieters are still within their energy limit. A green bar shows at a glance that everything is OK. A red bar indicates whether participants have consumed too few or too many calories that day. Physical activity is automatically taken into account in the balance: Those who exercise burn more calories and are also allowed to eat more.
– Weight progression:
It’s worth measuring your weight daily and recording it in the app. The app uses these numbers to generate a line graph that shows your weight progression. The successes achieved with the BRIGITTE Diet can now be documented in black and white.
– Losing weight with friends:
If friends sign up for the BRIGITTE Diet together, they can post their exercise activities and successes to each other via the app. This friendly “competition” makes losing weight much more fun, and if you succeed, your friends will immediately encourage you to keep going.
– Fitness videos (HD version for iPad only):
Those who exercise regularly burn more calories and lose weight faster. The videos, available exclusively in the HD version, help you stay active. The iPad transforms into a trainer, inviting you to a 30-minute workout. The power moves and toning Pilates exercises are from the BRIGITTE DVD “The Best Figure Workouts.”
